Unfortuately the draft that we made for Madagascar is too big and the system won’t handle it. So after many frustrating attempts we will skip that exciting part of our travels and go on to what we are up to now.
We will attempt to post Madagascar later.
Hi folks, that’s a pity. Everybody over here is on the edge of their seats hankering for the next installment. Everybody keeps asking me when you’re posting your next and if they’ve missed any.
I’ve struck the problem of a post being too big to fit, but not in WordPress. After having researched it, I believe WordPress has no such limit. Did you perhaps forget to click the blue “Publish” button? It is very easy to forget that.
If you ever have difficulty posting long tracts, perhaps because of flaky wireless connection, you could try breaking the post into two posts. But you don’t need to do that with the existing draft. It is sitting there waiting to be made public using the blue “Publish” button, though it doesn’t have any pictures in it yet.
The pictures themselves have a 16 MB filesize limit, but most pictures — even very large ones — come in well below that limit. But once each picture has been uploaded to your media library it has negligible impact on the size of your post as they’re just pointers to the actual images and are less than 10 words (depending on how the system counts them).
Hi Mim. The problem we encounter is it takes for ever for anything to happen. We sit and watch a blue circle go round and round and nothing happens. Very frustrating. We have almost divorced over it a couple of times. Maybe this silly tablet is too tiny to cope, I think I’m going to buy a plurry laptop tomorrow.
